Immersion Assembly

Wow I wonder why Ms Burn is dressed like that" I said to myself! Ms Burn and the rest of the teachers in team 3 were dressed in wacky hear wigs and mad scientist clothes. We were in the hall for immersion assembly.Immersion assembly's are always at the start of each term,these assembly's are for the students to learn there topic for each term.Teachers preform an act that relates to our topic.

As soon as the teachers in team 3 walked on stage an enormous beaker appeared,the teachers started tossing a variety of ingredients into the beaker. A massive bar of soap miraculously appeared.It was Ms Walters.She had a pink wig on that looked like bubbles and she had pink tight jeans on.

Suddenly all the teachers got changed and Ms Lavakula started rapping.The rest of the teachers sang.Then they came of the stage and started squirting everyone with water.All the teachers were great although team 3 was my favourite.

The Easter Show Competition

In the school holiday’s I went to the Easter show because my brother was competing in a singing and dancing competition.The competition took place at the ASB Show grounds in Auckland New Zealand near One Tree Hill. There were six acts and my brother was second to go on stage.He sang and played his electric guitar.The song that he sang is called you give me something by James Morrison. One of the judges said “I like how you can sing different notes”and he said that the guitar was off tune.My brother did not make it into the final.Even though he did not make it my family was still proud of him.I think he looked really confident,but unfortunately he got distracted by a baby.

Snake Attack

You would never want to be bitten by a poisonous snake,it can be deadly because they have two teeth that we call fangs that connect to 2 sacs on each side of the snake’s upper jaw.These sacs contain venom. If you ever see a poisonous snake be careful or stay away from it.

When snakes inject venom into you it runs through there venom sacs and down their fangs.Snakes fangs are not solid,but they are hollow and can easily puncture your skin.

Hydro slide

Walking up the steep steps I could hear echoing voices and every body cheering with excitement.I was anxiously waiting for my turn hoping it would be soon because I was so cold.I was very close to having my turn so I started jumping up and down. Finally I had my turn, I was going down the slide like the wind.It was pitch black and I could still hear everyone cheering.Suddenly there was light so I could tell I was near the end of the slide,so I put my legs up and my arms near my face.It was really fun going down the slide because all the water was splashing on me at every turn in the slide and because it was really fast.

Rauf Roller blading

Filled with excitement I quickly went on the rink and started roller blading with my friends. Suddenly I lost balance so I quickly clung on to my friend,but I fell down bringing my friend down with me. It was really funny but painful for my friend and me.

When the man said that there was going to be a limbo challenge I was very excited so I lined up for my turn, hoping I would win the competition again like last year.The bar got lower and lower as our turns went, there were eliminations as well.I made it into the final and I was really nervous. Some of my friends were in the final and I was last to have my turn so it gave me a big advantage. My friend's didn't make it so if I made it I would win. My heart was beating fast and sweet was coming down my face like a waterfall.I quickly went and had my turn. I just made it! That made my winning streak 2 years in a row.

Picnic

School picnic my favourite time of year!A school picnic is a annual event for Pt.England school which means it happens once a year. The whole school goes to the Pt.England reserve for a fun day,filled with fun activities.One of the activities that I really enjoy is the sack races. I versed my friend in a race for a few minutes and I kept falling over because I was trying to hop too fast so I could be victorious.
Suddenly I heard the music play so I ran and got my friend Rocky and he started a dance battle with some of the girls from my class. It was really funny because Rocky was doing some moves that I had never seen before and the girls were acting like sprinklers.Of course I can’t dance but I tried, it wasn't good. My friend Rocky didn’t even care about what move he was doing so he started krumping. I tried not to laugh but I didn't make good success.
I was sad that the end of the day had already come but I had lots of fun apart from that,It was a really awesome day at the Pt.England reserve.

Camp

It was a great start to our year 5/6 camp and a good ending to the year 7/8 camp.Today we went to swimmer rummer pools,it was very fun because we got to enjoy swimming sports and we were allowed to go on a cool hydro slide. The best time of the day for me was when I got to swim with my friends and talk with them for a while.I really enjoyed it and I cant wait until we do more things at camp.
